Freer septum chisel is a unique tool used in Rhinoplasty and nasal reconstructive procedures. The small blade with a sharp edge is ideal for shaping the bony nasal septum and in procedures of submucous resection. The septum chisel & Gouge is an instrument used for the resection of the nasal septum during surgical procedures. These chisels are handheld, manual instruments that consist of a straight handle leading to a wide, flat cutting blade that is beveled on one side. The angled nature of the blade provides excellent visualization of the surgical area. The Freer chisel is available with either a straight or curved blade depending on surgical preference.
